Recently, there has been a noticeable shift indicating that technology is surpassing previous assumptions and delving into the realm of thought prediction—an idea that can be unsettling.
In February 2023, as I drove alone, immersed in nostalgic music, I found my thoughts wandering into an unexplored topic. It was one I had never discussed, searched for online, or even contemplated within myself. Delving into the technical aspects for the first time, I became captivated.
What became truly unnerving was that approximately an hour later, upon picking up my phone, the first feed I encountered was related to that exact topic. This peculiar occurrence repeated itself multiple times recently.
Though I initially shared my experience in an article on Linkedin, I eventually deleted it, fearing that others might perceive me as paranoid. However, upon reluctantly consulting my friends, I discovered that some of them had undergone similar experiences. None of us had previously discussed or written about the specific topic, ruling out text or voice sniffing, yet the phone feed reflected it.
Puzzled by this, I sought answers. Consulting my neurophysician friend, Dr. Sarvanan, he insisted that thought prediction without scalp sensors is impossible. To verify, I attended the Bangalore Tech Summit, meeting founders of brain wave sensing devices, who refuted my observations. Notably, the requirement for thought prediction seemed to involve wearing a headset.
Some devices resembled EEG devices attached to the scalp, while others resembled elaborate helmets. The distinction lay in the range and accuracy of the sensors; headset/helmet sensors offered more coverage than those attached directly to the scalp.
As I prepared to publish an article detailing these findings, I stumbled upon a feed discussing telepathy, telekinesis, digital immortality, and more.

Despite the unsettling nature of these developments, my journey with AI began in 2005, working on highly available systems and engaging with a Linux-ha bot named Gollum. Over time, my curiosity has led me to explore the profound facets of natural, general, and artificial intelligence, all converging on the fundamental aspects of language—symbols and characters.
